Plotting the shore route
Winding the yarn map...
Big ports, careful logistics
Mediterranean yarn shopping ranges from true city yarn crawls to long gateway-port detours. Athens/Piraeus, Barcelona, Lisbon, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and Marseille now have live first-wave guides; Florence and Rome remain plan-ahead research, not quick pier walks.

Browse the guides for Barcelona, Marseille, Athens/Piraeus, Lisbon and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The latter two are Atlantic stops often paired with southern European itineraries. Yarn shops in Athens are city destinations, not shops beside the Piraeus piers.
Civitavecchia and Livorno are gateways to larger city visits. Do not treat Rome or Florence shopping as a walk from the ship. Verify transport and return arrangements for your actual call before committing to a shop visit.
Dedicated yarn shops, mercerias and fabric stores have different ranges. Use the shop categories and source links in each destination guide, and check availability directly if a particular fiber or brand is the reason for your visit.

Southern Spain cruise research
These calls should stay in research until each port has a real yarn or merceria stop, terminal route, hours, and source-backed imagery.
Craft and haberdashery-first
Pinto Wharf is promising for walk-off context, but live copy should foreground craft and lace until yarn inventory is confirmed.
Local textile and craft watchlist
Current evidence supports textile gifts and local craft more than yarn-store shopping.
