Livorno berths and shuttle drop-offs vary by cruise line. Florence is roughly 90 minutes each way by excursion coach, transfer, or train from Livorno Centrale — do not attempt it on a short call.

shuttle: Allow 25–45 minutes to Livorno Centrale
Use the transfer announced for your ship, then board a Florence-bound train at Livorno Centrale.
taxi: Allow 15–25 minutes to Livorno Centrale
A taxi reduces the city transfer, though queues can add time when several ships arrive together.
Your ship may use another Livorno berth. Follow the terminal signs and use the transport provided for your call.

Take the transfer announced at the gangway and keep extra time for loading and city traffic.
taxi: Allow 15–25 minutes to Livorno Centrale
Ask for Livorno Centrale and confirm where to meet a taxi for the return.
Alto Fondale is one of Livorno's named cruise terminals; your gangway instructions determine the day's starting point.
Check your ship's app or daily program before leaving the gangway. If the terminal name is still unclear, use the Alto Fondale timing and ask the port staff which transfer serves Livorno Centrale.

The direct train takes about 90 minutes; the rest of this allowance covers both city connections.

Keep the Florence visit and spend the shop allowance at the Duomo or Bargello. Avoid searching for a replacement after arrival.
