The port runs a free shuttle to the town centre. Allow time to board when several tours leave together.
walk: Allow 20–25 minutes to Commercial Street
The walk is roughly 1 km before the final town-centre streets. The shuttle is easier in rain or with limited time.

Mair's Pier is the longest of the town berth walks in this guide.

Commercial Street begins close to the pier. Follow the signed pedestrian route out of the working harbour area.

tender: The port lists about 5 minutes from the inner anchorage and 10–15 minutes from the south anchorage
Tender queues add time beyond the boat ride. Once ashore, Jamieson's of Shetland is a short town walk.
Check your ship's app or daily program before you leave the cabin. If the arrival point remains unclear, allow the Mair's Pier travel time and ask the welcome team whether you need a shuttle or a tender queue for the return.
