Akureyri yarn-crawl guide
Iceland's second yarn city — a genuinely walkable wool stop with a dedicated yarn shop and an indie dyer in town.
Docking at Oddeyrarbryggja cruise pier (near Hof) — Strandgata 16, 600 Akureyri, Iceland. Iceland.
Shore-day plan
Walk to Garn í gangi on Kaupvangsstræti for the anchor yarn stop, then continue north along the shore to Dóttir Dyeworks for hand-dyed skeins. Both fit comfortably inside a half-day call with time left for the botanical garden or a pool.
Distances use the Oddeyrarbryggja cruise pier by Hof. On busy multi-ship days taxis and rentals run short — plan the walk, not a ride.
